New South Wales Health Minister BradHazzard has advised residents in greater Sydney to wear a mask but has not made it mandatory yet.

New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard has advised residents in greater Sydney to wear a mask but has not made it mandatory yet. This comes as the state recorded 30 new cases, with 28 linked to the Northern Beaches cluster. The area is currently under lockdown until Wednesday December 23.

“Across the whole of greater Sydney it would make a lot of sense for people to be wearing masks at the present time,” Mr Hazzard said. “At least for the next few days until we revisit this issue on Wednesday. “It may well be wise to wear those masks going through Christmas, New Year in the greater Sydney area.”
