"This rainfall has the potential to cause minor flooding along rivers in the North West Slopes including the Upper Macintyre, Gwydir, Peel, Namoi and Castlereagh," the warning reads. The west of the state is also experiencing unsettled conditions with strong winds and cool temperatures."Rain is expected to continue in the northeast early in the new week as the front heads north and reaches the far north coast, before stalling in the region as a trough," BOM advises.Sydney temperatures will sit in the mid to late 20s throughout the week but the rain will remain.
