Sky News host Peta Credlin says a new initiative is being planned to kickstart Melbourne's hospitality and events by making use of the city’s near empty multi-level carparks.

Sky News host Peta Credlin says a new initiative is being planned to kickstart Melbourne's hospitality and events by making use of the city’s near empty multi-level carparks. Ms Credlin spoke with the Chief Executive of Parking Australia Stuart Norman as well as the owner of hospitality agency ‘The Big Group’ Bruce Keebaugh.

"I think Melbourne's got an opportunity to put themselves on the map right now," Mr Keebaugh said. "To create a summer of hope for Melburnians who've had such a bloody rough trot, we can just bring some joy. "For the CBD of Melbourne, the theatres are closed, the gallerias are closed, so lets put the gallerias in the car park, lets put theatre in the carpark. "And let's give people a reason to come to destination Melbourne".

What a fucked idea. Just open up the theatres and galleries that are already closed.

Am now thinking of starting an industrial metal band named 'Near Empty Multi-Level Carparks'.

This tweet show a fundamental misunderstanding of how confidence works, and the relationship it plays with people going outside to spend money. Sad!

Pretty dumb idea, entertainment in urine soaked multi level car parks
