A report into Brisbane flight paths has made 49 recommendations, including introducing alternative routes by 2024 and boosting the number of flights over Moreton Bay.

abc.net.au/news/qld-air-services-report-runway-noise-brisbane/101356606Reducing the impact of aircraft noise on Brisbane suburbs and boosting flights over Moreton Bay were key considerations of an independent review into the city's flight paths, with the final report released today. It suggests increasing the number of flights over bayside waters

A number of communities in Brisbane complained of increased noise, including Bulimba, New Farm, Brookfield, and the Samford Valley. Airservices Chief Executive Officer Jason Harfield said the government-owned corporation would further consult local communities and industry over the coming months, as it explores other flight paths."Airservices is committed to considering all opportunities for improved noise outcomes for the Brisbane community and to progressing those options assessed as safe and feasible," he said.

So, our Green aviation expert wants a curfew and a return to pre-pandemic capacity, that is, before the new runway opened. They really do want to hamstring business growth and prosperity, don't they. The noise nuisance can be reduced without hobbling the city.

They had to do a study to work out if anyone would be annoyed if aircraft flew over a large body of water devoid of any human dwellings. Our species is doomed.

The key to Byron Bay's transformation from 'reeking' abattoir town to coastal hotspotWith all that Byron Bay has become, it's remarkable to think that the same town was once an industrial hub with a piggery, an abattoir, sand mining and a whaling station — until surfers came along. Drugs. Lots of drugs. Na it’s Awful these days , we still got our property there, no what happens , constantly being ask to sell , refuse ,DON’T like the newcomers attitudes , we evict squatters, now have hidden cameras, very useful, just want be left alone to farm , not effected by floods at all . The town is a cesspit now. It's a nice beach fkdup by that stupid hippy market that lasts forever surrounded by overpriced and underdelivering second rate restaurants. Seriously - it is a cr4p town. .

Nah. The rot in Companies, like fish, starts at the head. He's damaged the brand via 'spreadsheet management' that willfully bleed a business dry in order to please the stock market. Passengers are a pain and just complicate running a fleet of planes. $50 is an insult What did we Australians do to deserve this Irishman running our beloved airline? Surely we have our own highly qualified and experienced business people? Is this man the best we can achieve?
