If you’re a fan of a few drinks at 38,000 feet, you may need to swap that cold one for something a little softer on your next flight.

A number of popular airlines – including Easyjet and KLM in Europe, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines in the United States, and even Virgin Australia, are suspending all or part of their alcoholic beverage service in response to COVID-19.

Many airlines are limiting drink options to water only, while airlines like Qantas and Virgin Australia will be offering face masks to all passengers, as well as disinfectant wipes on board and ensuring social distancing measures are in place during boarding and disembarkation. Virgin Atlantic, which will also be putting a ban on the booze, have announced they will be issuing passengers with “Health Packs” which will include a face mask, surface wipes and hand gel.

Shame it’s taken a pandemic to get the booze off planes.

Pathetic. Do they realize all hand sanitizers are pretty much 99% alcohol, it kills germs.

What a load of rubbish So tell me what’s the difference now between flying Qantas VirginAustralia or flying JetstarAirways instead? 🤔

They way things are going you all will be eating hash cookies on flights . Cannabis oil fixes everything apparently

So how does the Corona know if you're having a beer or Coke? Another ridiculous restriction one of many.

better to have boba instead 🤣
