The dual-Brownlow Medallist required medical attention on his back in the opening quarter of last week’s loss to Carlton, before returning to the field to play out the game.

Brisbane co-captain Lachie Neale is believed to be unlikely to face his former side Fremantle in Sunday’s round one match at Optus Stadium.

It is understood Neale is in growing doubt to make the trip west, and the 30-year-old was on light duties at training on Tuesday, telling media he was sore. Last year’s grand finalists enter the clash with the Dockers without Keidean Coleman, who has undergone season-ending knee surgery.
