'It is now time to merge the ABC and the SBS' | Sky News AustraliaNSW Liberal Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells says 'it's now time to merge the ABC and the SBS'.\n\n'I have long advocated that it's now time to merge the ABC and SBS,' she said.\n\n'I think we need to go back to basics and we need to have one broadcaster with a charter that sets out and benefits all Australians irrespective of colour or creed.\n\n'I actually think this is a discussion that needs to be had and as a consequence of that we should revisit the whole issue about funding and all of those issues.' Some might prefer that SBS takeover the ABC rather than a merger. I did click the Heart button on this story, but really I don't care. Defund the pair of them. Ha ha ha. Dumbest thing said on Twitter today. Never going to happen. SBS actually has factual & informative shows worth watching. Only stupid people avoid SBS cause they’re too simple & watch Paul Murray. ABC is as Australian as Hill Hoist & should be saved for its services.
