Isn't the point of suspensions to stop players from lifting players & putting the tackled player in a dangerous position regardless of whether the player was sent to hospital in a neck brace or not. That tackle was millimetres from turning ugly real quickly.

There’s been 2 players suspended for the exact same tackle this season one being after the Friday night game how he didn’t get anything is an embarrassment and the MRC need to be fired but not surprised since cleary got away with a blatant shoulder charge this season as well

I don't believe any player should miss a grand for tackle that goes wrong. Nrl need to look at alternatives to suspension, like really heavy fines and serving time in the next season or perhaps both together. A lot players may never get another chance in finals again.
