Already a subscriber?Three women will lead National Australia Bank’s customer-facing divisions under new chief executive Andrew Irvine, who has reshuffled the management deck chairs on Wednesday morning, including appointing Rachel Slade to run its flagship business bank.

Cathryn Carver will become group executive of corporate and institutional banking ; she is currently the executive for client coverage in that division, which lends to big companies, including for the energy transition.Ms Carver will replace David Gall, who is leaving NAB in October after a decade as a member of the executive leadership team, where he has worked across areas including risk, wealth and working capital lending.

There are another two females on Mr Irvine’s 10-strong group executive team: Sharon Cook, who runs legal and commercial services; and Sarah White, in charge of people and culture.
