A couple's weekend walk at Bondi Beach ended in tragedy when a large wave knocked them off rocks into the water. Lifesavers pulled the man out a short time later but he couldn't be revived.
Occurring on a busy afternoon at the beach, the incident was caught on film from a nearby lookout point. Mr Kaze described hearing the 45-year-old woman screaming for her partner when she realised he was still missing in the water, after she climbed to safety onto the rocks."She was just trying to go and save her husband."
The 45-year-old woman managed to pull herself back onto the rocks, but found her partner was missing.NSW Ambulance duty operations manager Sally Groves said it was an "absolutely horrendous outcome".
