The police prosecutor offered no evidence for the murder charge and asked that the accused be committed to stand trial for manslaughter.A young man accused of murdering Central Queensland woman Rene Latimore in 2021 has had his charge downgraded to manslaughter.
Rene Latimore, 31, went missing from a rural property in Koumala, south of Mackay, in early August 2021. When asked by Magistrate Damien Dywer if he had anything to say in answer to the charge, he replied, "No".
