Buses have been diverted away from Carrington Street as a result of road closures, and services into the CBD are terminating on York Street before Margaret Street instead. Buses on routes out of the central city are beginning their trips from York Street near Wynyard Park.‘‘Traffic is extremely heavy at the moment,’’ a Transport Management Centre spokesman said.
An entrance to Wynyard Station on Clarence Street has been closed, and commuters are advised to use other entrances to the busy CBD station such as York Street or Barangaroo.
