The 22-year-old's death was one of several linked to Robodebt, which affected around 380,000 people who had been given unlawful debts as part of the disastrous scheme.

Morrison was variously the Social Services Minister, Treasurer and Prime Minister throughout Robodebt's span. Today he was grilled by the commission's Senior Counsel Assisting, Justin Greggery, over whether he knew Robodebt was illegal before he put it into play.'They never saw it coming': Police union boss speaks out about gun attack"It near brought me to tears to the way he was speaking about welfare and the taxpayers and getting the money back for taxpayers."

Morrison described himself as the "welfare cop" while Commissioner Catherine Holmes pulled him into line several times for providing unnecessary detail in his answers."I love it actually, she does it much more diplomatically than I would," Madgwick said. Morrison insists he inherited the scheme's framework when he took over the social services portfolio. If you or anyone you know needs immediate support, contact the following:

'Just answer': Scott Morrison grilled in Robodebt hearingFormer prime minister Scott Morrison has been grilled for not answering questions directly related to his role in the Robodebt scheme during Wednesday's Royal Commission hearing. He's a sellout, and the prick should be in gaol. He's got blood on his hands. He couldn't lie straight in bed. Scott couldn't be nearly as bad as Bill Shorten with his litany of 'I can't recalls' in the Trade Union RC. Nothing will happen & no-one will be held accountable. I recall a politician who couldn't recall a decision made during 2021 that cost 801 people their lives. Against the Governments own recently passed legislation about accountability no-one was found accountable. Its a joke
