The Prime Minister has confirmed more Australians and Afghan visa holders have been evacuated from Kabul today but warned the Taliban-controlled city remained "chaotic".

He confirmed 60 Australians and Afghan visa holders were evacuated on a second flight from Kabul to Al Minhad, Dubai, last night.Earlier today a UK flight brought some Australians out of Afghanistan. They include 94 people who flew from Dubai to Perth overnight, where they have now entered quarantine.

"It's a quick operation. It takes about 30 minutes. You've got to move very fast and the situation on the ground is difficult. We will continue to work with other nations," Mr Morrison said.

This is a commendable step as a human being but you have no feelings/arrangements for those who’re stranded abroad due to🦠? Is this less than the Taliban's crime? These crimes are the same in the way of God. If they can be brought to🇦🇺,stranded people can also be brought ausgov

162? That's criminally pathetic! Other countries are evacuating ppl at hundreds at a time. Morrison is an embarrassment.

Thank you ScottMorrisonMP

I’d bet every other country is flying them out at 500 a time..not 25 at a time

At this rate fewer than 1,000 will be rescued by Australia before the US Army leaves the airport on 31 August. KabulAirlift kabul Taliban

'Not possible' to get all Australians trapped outside Kabul airport through Taliban barricades, Prime Minister saysThe Prime Minister says as the Taliban moves through the city of Kabul it is impossible for defence forces to help anyone not already inside the airport. Thank Christ we haven't got anything MORALLY difficult for 'he who believes in moral obligations' to do. If only we were a trusted ally of America, we just may have had some forewarning of their withdrawal. Maybe not now, but if Australia had been prepared, they could have acted like the French who sent in their military, to escort their people to the airport. Reports say, the Taliban are 'bullying' those with documents, but no official foreign escort and not letting them through.

First Australians and Afghans evacuated from Kabul land in PerthThe evacuees, which include consular officers, interpreters and immigration personnel, have been taken to the Hyatt Regency Perth hotel for quarantine. It's okay we don't require women and girls to cover up here. It's a free country. The Greens’ call to take 20,000 Afghani “refugees” is being interpreted in Kabul as an “offer” by Australia. Similar with Canada, resulting in chaotic crowds of undocumented Afghans, mostly fighting-age men, flocking to airports. ScottMorrisonMP Late to assist and then to little
