Scott Morrison has emerged from the hermetically sealed biodome he detests so much, the hated "Canberra Bubble", to speak directly to the voters of real Australia. And he's stepped forth holding a single political instrument – a hammer. He's going to spend the next five weeks hammering home a single, strong message.
By contrast, Bill Shorten has started the campaign with many components and bits and pieces, an Ikea flat-pack of policies and ideas from which to build an alternative political vision.This is how the Opposition Leader began his campaign : "Today, the case to vote Labor is we will deliver more jobs, better health and education. And then he will revert to the central importance of a "strong economy".
So you can ask him anything you like and you will get essentially the same answer.
