Prime Minister Scott Morrison has declared the troubled $90 billion submarine project is back on track after recruiting France’s President Emmanuel Macron to help salvage the deal | Gallo_Ways

– after an initial plan to extend the life of just three – to avoid a capability gap as the first of Naval Group’s 12 submarines is not due to enter service until 2035.

“The Morrison and Macron meeting is important because it sends a clear message to Naval Group that this is not a contractual matter between them and Department of Defence, it is a national strategic matter that has the attention of our national leader,” Mr Shoebridge said.

Gallo_Ways Australia can now rest easy knowing the submarine problems are fixed because SCOMO said so and had a photo op with Macron to prove it

Gallo_Ways The French certainly know where the LNP village idiots live. This whole project is another expensive farce :

Gallo_Ways Another fuck up by LNP. WhiteElephantClassSubmarines Which donors are getting rich of this one?

Gallo_Ways This article is N Korean style propaganda not journalism. It’s basically an LNP press release polished up and presented. Wtf

Gallo_Ways That’ll fix it. Phew!!

Gallo_Ways All this just because they wanted to keep the lefty rent boy Chrissy Pyne in his job that he left anyway.

Gallo_Ways That is costing the average Australian family more than $10,000. Time we got our priorities straight. Time to stop warmongers holding back social progress.

Gallo_Ways We had a chat and it’s sorted.

Gallo_Ways Yep instead of being 30yrs into the future, it will be 29... Give us a spell will ya, why hasn't Morrison phoned this bloke instead of waiting 3yrs for a one on one..?

Gallo_Ways Scotty ScottMorrisonMP makes an announcement Whoop Whoop, well done Scotty Son. Now let the real leaders in the G7 get back to work and come back hide behind your locked doors in Australia

Gallo_Ways 'Recruited Macron to salvage the deal' That would be a deal that every expert says is a dud which will be redundant by the time the subs are finished if indeed they ever get built. But hey, why not regurgitate press releases from the PMO. Cheaper than actual journalism.

Gallo_Ways Why is Scotty not wearing his Hawaiian shirt while he’s over here? We’re having Hawaiian weather at the moment.

Where is our submarine Alright. So our PM is a bit of a dork and likes doing the elbow bump for some reason? Started something? No. A very good public speaker and generally deals with facts. So welcome back to the much-needed trade with the UK. Good job. 👍 Bloody hell is scomo just crying to anyone that he comes across and not helping to ease tensions with China by kiss and tell. Not france or any other nations cares about each other. Just nice words but it is still Australia's problem to resolve w China alone.

Any attempt to accelerate submarine program will introduce 'a whole lot of risk' | Sky News AustraliaASPI submarine expert Marcus Hellyer says if Australia attempts to 'accelerate the attack class submarines... you'll introduce a whole lot of risk into the attack class program'.\n \n'We've seen throughout history people try to design and build ships and submarines faster - generally what happens is you realise halfway through the build process by cutting corners on the design you've introduced a whole lot of problems and you end up spending a lot more time and money trying to fix the problems you've introduced into the schedule,' he said.\n\n'There's not a lot of submarine engineers and submarine designers in the world; they're a pretty scarce commodity. It's not really a matter of throwing more money at the problem to get a faster solution.\n\n'I think we kind of have a rather unhealthy fetish around submarines in this country. Even if we get the submarine issue right, you still need other capabilities.'\n\n Might be useful yesterday but not today or tomorrow
