Australia's COVID-19 death toll has reached 20 after a Sydney woman, 95, died from the virus. Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus across the country has climbed above 4,500.

The NSW Premier confirmed 150 new cases were diagnosed overnight, bringing the number of cases in the state to more than 2000. Deputy Chief Medical Officer Nick Coatsworth said while the restrictions had a clear impact on the rate of transmission, it was too early to consider the drop in the number of cases a trend.
