The Block-style auction lasted almost two hours.

The nine properties at Mount Pleasant Avenue, Wahroonga had varying guides between $1.4 million and $1.65 million with the church representative confirming NSW Fair Trading inspectors attended. The homes each had at least four bedrooms, one bathroom and two car spaces on 900-odd square metres. Many of the active buyers who missed out on the first property went on to vie for the keys to the next house atThe home sold for $1.55 million, bang on reserve, to a nurse from Eastwood, Xue Chu, who bought it as another investment property.Successful buyer Xue Chu walked away with the keys at 70 Mount Pleasant Avenue for $1.55 million.She said she bought the property for a “good price” and planned to rent it out.sold for even less at $1,515,000, although above the $1.

Every property sold at or above reserve. Wahroonga’s median house price rose 12.9 per cent to $2,565,000 in the year to September on Domain data. He said the idea behind selling them in a Block-style auction was to drum up interest and competition. “We were motivated to get a good result because of what the church is doing for the nurses at the San.”
