More Aussies than ever say they have 'no religion', census data shows

More Australians than ever have reported they don't identify with any religion, data from the 2021 census shows.

Dr David Gruen AO, Australian Statistician, said more Australians were happy to answer the voluntary question on religion compared to past years.

Alot of religious people also don't answer the religious question because they grew up in WW2 under Hitler, Stalin, musolini and Tojo. others are from Africa and Asia and are petrified to admit Thier religious stance to Canberra due to possible persecution.

Many Christians, like myself, do not have an affiliation with any church. The religion is Christianity the Church has so many different views in today's world. You don't have to attend a church to be a Christian. It used to be Catholic or Protestant, why has it changed?

Then you need to add those who say they are religious but don't actually practice. Who pick out some religious opinions on morals and standards, then use religious beliefs to justify their opinions.

No huge surprise. About time. If a child or adult has an imaginary friend, they are frowned upon.... unless it is a religious imaginary friend, and then it is alright. Unfortunate to see that 60% of the population have not evolved.
