The friends of a man who was allegedly murdered while camping with his childhood sweetheart have told a jury about his secretive affair with the woman.
Clay, 73, and Hill, 74, were camping together when they disappeared from Victoria's Wonnangatta Valley in March 2020.Russell Hill and Carol Clay were reported missing after going camping. The 57-year-old man, who was a Jetstar captain at the time, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and is on trial at the Supreme Court in Melbourne.
Ashlin never mentioned the meeting to Hill's wife, but she later told him Clay had "been on the scene" for more than 20 years.
