Queensland Police confirmed lifeguards found Alvin Prasad’s body on Mermaid Beach, near Seashell Ave, just after 9am this morning.Mr Prasad’s family have been notified and have identified the body, according to police.
A man claiming to be his cousin posted on Facebook saying the family “wish we were there” the night Mr Prasad went missing. It’s believed the group were attending a work Christmas party and headed to the beach afterwards to celebrate. Queensland Police Chief Superintendent Mark Wheeler told reporters on Sunday authorities were doing all they could to find him.
