Alina Brakel, 55, disappeared in floodwaters late on Tuesday night around five kilometres south of the flood devastated city of Lismore in the suburb of Monaltrie.

It has now fallen under the major flood level and sits at 9.70m with moderate flooding still occuring for most of Lismore and surrounding suburbs.Floodwaters are yet to peak at Bungawalbin and Woodburn. Residents in parts of Mullumbimby, North Macksville, Kings Point, Nambucca Heads, Condong, Tumbulgum, Urunga, Bellinger Keys, Newry Island, Yellow Rock, Kyogle and the Bellinger River Tourist Park could return home.
