A "radical left-wing" agenda is infiltrating the military according to Sky News contributor Lauren Southern who says the politicisation of the Australian army is undermining the performance of those in uniform. Speaking of a campaign to promote homosexuality in the Canadian military, she said "it seems we've gone from one problem ‘don't ask don't tell’ to another, ‘must ask must tell’.
The Australian army began implementing active diversification quotas back in 2012 with priorities being, women, indigenous, LGBTIQ persons, people with disabilities and mature age population groups. Citing a campaign launched by ex-army Chief David Morrison for the Diversity Council of Australia condemning offensive words in the military and seeking to remove the word ‘guys’ from the workplace along with other masculine terms, Ms Southern described the left wing push as “madness”.
