AMES Australia CEO Cath Scarth says migrants feel “incredibly welcomed” on Australia Day.

“It is a day when they can participate in community activities in their local community, and I suppose meet people that perhaps they wouldn’t normally get to meet,” Ms Scarth told Sky News Australia.

“Of course, that goes for the rest of us that we can enjoy the diversity that Australia is, including First Nations.”
