A Year 11 student from a school in Melbourne’s north-west has reportedly contracted the coronavirus a week after a teacher at the school did.

Keilor Downs College will be closed to all staff and students on Friday as it undergoes deep cleaning.

Queensland man, 30, dies from coronavirus | Sky News AustraliaA 30-year-old Queensland man has died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s virus death toll to seven. \n\nThe 30-year-old, from Blackwater in Queensland’s Central Highlands Region, was not diagnosed or treated for the virus before his death. \n\nQueensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the man’s partner was sick with COVID-19 symptoms and was receiving treatment at the Rockhampton hospital. \n\nFever clinics are being established at Blackwater and Emerald and all residents with flu-like symptoms have been told to get tested for the virus immediately. \n\nContact tracing is underway. If you are young, you think you have a cold, but you suspect you will be fine. Please self isolate and test. Don’t wait. We need your help to protect the vulnerable, and we have a good chance to save your life if we know about it early enough. And what health issues did this young man have? Statistically, this virus, like others of its ilk, doesn't kill 'healthy' young individuals. So you can stop with the panic porn now.
