WA Premier Mark McGowan has brought in the strictest proof of vaccination rules in the country, including pubs and fast food, ahead of the state’s reopening.

for aniti-vaxxers and those who haven’t got around to getting the jab following almost two years of near-zero COVID-19 in the community. On social media, a mostly safe arena for McGowan in the early days of the pandemic, the rebuke was swift.

Other people complained of being penalised while they waited to give birth before getting vaccinated. Others went to the looming day-to-day realities. and a crippled opposition, it’s not a massive gamble and more of the same cautiousness West Australians have come to expect.Almost 90 per cent of the state’s 2.7 million population over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated, leaving a minority of people affected as they go about their lives.

How would these restrictions on unvaccinated individuals be legal outside a declared state of emergency? Unless the Premier is now making new laws unilaterally that contravene numerous human rights laws.

It's not even about sense or saving lives anymore. It's purely about complying with demands, regardless of any scientific backing.

And I think we have reached peak stupid!

'Performative parochialism' leaves WA chained shutA top Western Australian lawyer has lashed out at Premier Mark McGowan after he slammed borders shut to the whole of Australia, declaring every state and territory in the country an 'extreme risk'. If McGowan, or any premier, can’t understand that they are part of one nation, and that they should act in the interests of the nation first, they shouldn’t be in that role. Are you seriously abusing the WA premier for wanting to stay out of the shitshow that is the rest of the country? Far out, why wouldn't he? I'm not sure if you're paying attention, but every other state is pretty much stuffed at the moment!
