The CLP uses a motion in Parliament to accuse the Member for Blain Mark Turner of misleading the Legislative Assembly over a statement he made last week about his connection to a 'private citizen'.

The Northern Territory opposition has moved a motion in Parliament to have the Member for Blain referred to the Privileges Committee, accusing Mark Turner of misleading the Legislative Assembly over a statement he made last week about his connection to a "private citizen".

Today, the CLP Member for Brennan, Marie-Clare Boothby, moved a motion to refer Mr Turner to the Privileges Committee for contempt of the Legislative Assembly. Ms Boothby today told the Legislative Assembly that the statement was "materially misleading" because text messages between Mr Turner and the woman — which were published in the NT News last Friday — suggested a different story.

CLP Member for Brennan Marie-Clare Boothby said Mr Turner misled Parliament and should face the Privileges Committee.
