New South Wales Premier Chris Minns has announced an independent review into Metro projects in Sydney following concerns they are “massively over budget”.

“The Sydney CBD and Southwest Metro Project was originally budgeted to be $12 billion; that’s now $20 billion,” Mr Minns told Sky News Australia.

“The Metro West project was originally budgeted at $16 billion, the latest estimate I had is over $25 billion and Infrastructure NSW says it’s even more than that.”
