Queensland Maroons coach Tahnee Norris has lamented the “discrepancies in the men’s and women’s game” in light of Broncos star Julia Robinson’s suspension.
Norris admitted it was bittersweet to lose Robinson’s services, believing had the same incident occurred in the men’s space a fine or club suspension could have cleared the star outside back for the June 22 clash. “She’s an extremely powerful player, she’s a strong individual and she played the majority of her BMD competition either on the wing or fullback.“She’s powerful, she’s a similar type of build to Julia Robinson, so I’m looking forward to her taking the ball up for us.”Queensland coach Tahnee Norris.
