US presidential candidate Marianne Williamson has dismissed comments from adversaries describing her as a “longshot” as she reveals the reasons behind her decision to run for office for a second time.

“Those who are describing me as a longshot are those who simply don’t want me to be in the race,” she told Sky News Australia.

“By the way, Donald Trump was quite a long shot when he began, Barack Obama was considered a long shot when he began.
