Victoria Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a former Home and Away star after he failed to appear at court over an alleged assault.
Victoria Police issued a public appeal for help tracking down Pledger after issuing a warrant for his arrest on Wednesday afternoon. "The 30-year-old is wanted on warrant in relation for failing to appear for an assault related matter," Victoria Police said in a statement. Pledger had been due to face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday after it was alleged he assaulted a woman.Investigators hope that with the release of Pledger's image through police media channels"someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts".Police said Pledger is known to frequent Northcote, in Melbourne's inner north, and surrounding suburbs.
Anyone with any information which could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
