A man who nearly died after fainting onto railway tracks as a train was approaching in Sydney was arrested after a stay in hospital.
Staff jumped onto the tracks to try and pull the man to safety, but he had been knocked unconscious in the fall and could not be moved. In the video, the person filming zooms to a display screen showing the time the train is due to arrive: a mere two minutes. As the train rounds the bend into the station, a guard desperately waves red flags at the driver while a chorus of screams can be heard from the commuters at the platform.
Transport Minister David Elliot said he was delighted in the work from train staff in saving the man's life."It was quite clear he was unsteady on his feet and that really isn't an excuse," he said.
Brave lady. Straight onto it. She wasn’t even worried about her handbag. There are good people in this world.
Regardless of the reasons, what the hell with the woman on the left just sitting down acting as if nothing happened. Good luck getting her to help you if you ever needed it. Like, seriously WTAF🤷♀️🤷♀️

Staff would make a call to get all signals to stop and get emergency services to the scene.
Disgusted by the 2 just sitting there ... I sincerely hope you both NEVER need help from anyone!!!
Is that Joe Biden?
The person sitting on the seat not helping 😒
Hope the gentleman is ok and a medal to the lady that jumped down to help the man. Shame on the people standing and just watching
Fell or passed out?
In redfern, probably high on hill billy heroine
The lady still sitting on the bench, wtf?
Thanks to the ladies who jumped into action. In response to Ric Seeber and Glen post, yes I fully agree that Australia is ten years behind in technology and very slowly catching up.
That woman on the tracks is incredible. She needs recognition. Her lack of hesitation restores my faith in humanity. The other woman who alerted staff needs recognition too.
Two train travellers run to assist while the yellow vests have no idea what to do.
Nsw police say crime doesnt pay fines do, rich or poor we will fine you, if you havnt done anything wrong we will make something up to raise the revenue. Apart from that its good to see there are good people in the world which will go out of there way to help.
Absolutely! Credit to the lady's who didn't think twice and risked their own safety. I personally would of been more upset with the person holding the🚩 and person just sitting on the bench.
I only see one very very brave woman running and jumping onto the tracks to help and she needs to be recognised for her courage. Doesn’t look like anyone was helping her?!
Oh my god !!! I hope he is ok ! Thanks gals who rushed to rescue that poor man !!! Did someone notice one beech even didn’t move a inch after seeing all this incidents! I hope one day she will learn a lesson!
Pissed as ......
It was the female public mebers that placed their own lives at risk !
Wait…so the man was charged for not been steady on his feet…I don’t understand. Anyone can clear up what a ‘violence apprehension charge’ is?
Why is there massive editing cuts of security footage? Where’s the uncut footage? No doubt Sydney trains and Demonic PairOfTits trying to cover up the huge delay in anything happening by personnel not monitoring anything.
This people saw that the person was falling but didn’t stand up or looking for help. Have they no heart? One person only stand up when the other people reacted already. So sad 😞
Yes staff did stuff stopping the train they are amazing people as are the normal passengers who jumped on the track risking their lives too they deserve a high 5 and they are awesome too
Hows the two sitting n watching… coupla winners.. 👎🏼
Standard station staff never ever willing to do anything outside there own duties and I would sack everyone of them that didn’t help, it took two bystanders ladies to jump down and help the man and tell me our country isn’t backwards ffs
What about old mate on the seat can’t be stuffed and just sat there - really champ 🤷♂️🤦♂️
The women helping deserves a medal!
That brave lady….
God is a woman
How is he now ?
How can some one be arrested for a medical condition? Thid doesn't make any sense.
The man fell down on the track of the Redfern station without looking
Security guards 👎🏽
This person.
Yeah, it wasn’t “ staff” that jumped down onto the tracks. Give credit where it’s due to those 2 ladies.
steve9ld there’s a plot twist
to the woman that didn’t bother standing up and stayed on her phone, shame on you.
This lady was amazing.
Thank you,god bless
Quad vaxxed?
What amaze me is people sitting down taking pictures on the mobile phone instead of helping the poor bugger.
That’s disgusting I hope that lady who sat on her arse and did nothing accidentally falls on the tracks .. what is society coming too
Lady on the right sitting down does jack shit them stands up and walks away 🤬
Just to point out the woman in boots sitting wasn’t the only one who didn’t do anything 🤦♀️
Train station platform barricades with auto doors aligning with the train prevent this issue. Common place in many cities around the world. They also help direct commuter traffic.
Old guy needs to lay off whatever he’s on. The two ladies need rewards. The workmen need the sack
umm it wasn't staff
Why wasn't the station staff doing anything Geez!!
Hes pissseeedd
Hats down for the lady on the rail. Those high vis wearing man are too slow to respond!!!!?
Form on the lady sitting down. “Meh, can’t be bothered getting up to save his life”
That person who just sits there watching is wasting oxygen big time
Lay off the drugs
The lady sitting cross legged on the seat sipping her bloody latte.
How's the entitled Karen just sitting there watching
Ouch, man. That was a nasty landing.
The person sitting on the chair though... also I appreciate the people assisting but platform staff looked like they was trying to tell them to stay and radioing i suspect to stop train
What a shame! One woman dare to help
Ouch that face hitting the ground
