Jermaine Massey, 35, is accusing DoubleTree employees of racial profiling after a December 2018 incident in Portland in which he was told he was trespassing in the lobby — despite having booked a room in the hotel,Mr Massey, from Washington, had just finished talking to his mother on the phone when he was approached by employees of the DoubleTree, a franchise of the Hilton hotel brand.Jermaine Massey is suing the Hilton Hotel group over the December 2018 incident.
In the footage, two employees of the DoubleTree could be seen telling Mr Massey that police were coming to escort him off the property, despite Mr Massey explaining that he was a paying guest. This is so racist. Cops wouldn’t hear anything Jermaine Massey had to say. They made him collect his belongings from his rm & leave the hotel.
Hotel needs to feel a boycott. Hope he gets every cent. Those cops should hang their heads in shame.
