The man who allegedly struck an 81-year-old woman with his e-scooter outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground after an AFL game told the woman to “move off the footpath”. Elderly Collingwood fan Jessie Hatch was walking towards Jolimont Railway Station when she was confronted by the man about 11pm on Friday.

Melbourne e-scooter attack. Police have now revealed more details about the exchange, and released a photo of the man allegedly involved. He told Hatch to move off the path, but “she explained that the footpath is not for vehicles and walked around him”, Victoria Police said. He then rode off, but quickly turned around before allegedly hitting her from behind — causing her to fall to the ground and lose consciousness.
