A search and rescue mission is underway off the central Queensland coast to find a 60-year-old man whose boat ran aground almost seven hours ago.
Two men, aged 60 and 62, had been travelling in a boat near Pleasant Island, which is part of the Keppel Reef off the coast of Yeppoon.Emergency crews were called to the scene about 3:00am. Police are co-ordinating an aerial and sea search with assistance from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Capricorn Rescue Helicopter and the coastguard.
