A 37-year-old man has died in a freak accident while watching a football game in Brisbane’s north on Sunday.

The 37-year-old was at the Mitchelton Football Club on Sunday when the scaffold fell shortly after midday.

The man had been watching a football game at midday on Sunday when the scaffolding fell on him. Picture: Richard WalkerQueensland Police said the Forensic Crash Unit would prepare a report for a coroner and are urging anyone with footage of, or information about, this incident to contact police. “We share the concerns of the club and wider football community and our thoughts are with the family, and members of the club who were present,” they said.
