A council worker has been injured after a quad bike crashed over an embankment in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The vehicle — which NSW Ambulance described as a quad bike — went over an embankment at Murray St, Bronte just after 1pm on Tuesday. 7NEWS understands the man fell about 30m after reversing down the embankment. The 62-year-old man suffered chest injuries, NSW Ambulance told 7NEWS.com.au. Paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to St Vincent’s Hospital.
He is believed to be in a stable condition. On Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed the man was a worker from Waverley Council who was working at Bronte Park before the vehicle crashed. “A Council worker was transported to hospital this afternoon after the all-terrain vehicle he was driving overturned in Bronte,” Waverley Council told 7NEWS. “The man, aged in his 60s, is believed to be in a stable condition. “There have been no other reports of injuries. SafeWork NSW has been notified.
