NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant has confirmed a man in his 70s died on December 21 from respiratory complications following a coronavirus infection.

The man was a household contact of a locally acquired case.

Dr Chant said the fatality was considered to be related to the coronavirus given the man had recently returned a negative test and was no longer infectious. “I think this highlights the fact that sometimes the complications can be so severe that the lung damage and other complications arising from COVID … can subsequently be the cause of death many months later.”

Clown show

Are we going to be reporting ‘COVID deaths’ in 3 years time because someone once upon a time had the disease? Where does this lie end? Condolences to the persons family, how horrible. It’s not a COVID death though.

I feel for this man’s family. 2020 hasn’t been kind to them, nor have most of the jerks commenting on Sky”News” late article.

Sly lie statistics again

And it took 7 days and Sky to report it?

Why did it take a week to report?

So he had no other illness then I take it

Should have given him hydroxy chloroquine. Do you still ban it Kerry?

Why is pneumonia the old man's friend Doctors once had little choice but to be fatalistic about deaths from pneumonia Sir William Osler sometimes called the father of modern medicine famously called it 'Friend of the aged' because it was seen as a swift relatively painless death
