A man has been critically injured in a skydiving accident in Queensland. The man collided with a pole upon landing at about 3.45pm on Sunday near the Brisbane Valley Hwy in Toogoolawah, a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said. He suffered head and chest injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital in a critical condition.
“At Ramblers, we do everything we can to make it as safe as possible for our students. This is a distressing time for everyone involved. “We are also incredibly grateful to the first responders and emergency services personnel who provided first aid care and arranged for his helicopter flight to the Royal Brisbane Hospital late on Sunday.” The Australian Parachute Federation is investigating the accident.
