A 25-year-old Ipswich man will face court charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a teenage girl with a bow and arrow.

The man — who was wearing a mask and black hoodie — allegedly armed himself with a compound bow and began firing at people in a street at Booval, 40km south west of Brisbane, on Monday afternoon. Police said he first fired at a female jogger and a moving car before entering an Aldi supermarket and firing another two arrows.The teenager was hit in the hand and stomach and taken to Queensland Children's Hospital withPolice saidHe will face court today charged with attempted murder, torture, and going armed so as to cause fear.
