Man charged with sexually assaulting 92yo, in 'heinous' Sydney attack

A man has been charged after he allegedly broke into a 92-year-old woman's home in Sydney's inner west and sexually assaulted her at the weekend.

Police attended and were told a man broke into the home and physically and sexually assaulted the woman before stealing her wallet and fleeing the home.Following an investigation, 28-year-old Craig Anthony Wheatman was arrested in Homebush yesterday evening. At a press conference this morning, police described what they believed to be an opportunistic attack as "heinous".

Bring back the death penalty just for this heinous scumbag and then abolish it again.

He's a horrible excuse for a human being, no doubt we will hear about his disadvantaged childhood, his mental illness or drug addiction, no excuse warrants what he did. My hope is he gets a punishment to fit the crime not just a slap on the wrist.

He needs to be charged with attempted murder
