A teenager has been charged over an alleged road rage attack at a COVID-19 testing clinic in Sydney’s west earlier this week.
Police said about 2.45pm on Tuesday, a 55-year-old man attended a drive-through testing clinic at Everley Road, Auburn, where he became involved in a verbal argument with an 18-year-old man.Credit:The older man was allegedly pulled out of his car by the teenager, before being punched and kneed repeatedly.The injured man was taken to Auburn Hospital with serious injuries, including a fractured arm. He has since been released.
Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended the scene and began an investigation into the alleged attack. After appealing to the public appeal for information, officers executed a search warrant at a home at Merrylands about 2.40pm on Thursday.An 18-year-old man was arrested and taken to Auburn police station, where he was charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm and negligent driving.The Morning Edition newsletter is our guide to the day’s most important and interesting stories, analysis and insights.
