Sky News host Alan Jones has criticised former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull for two “monumental stuff-ups” during his leadership - the “submarine fiasco” and the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project. richoandjones

Sky News host Alan Jones has criticised former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull for two “monumental stuff-ups” during his leadership - the “submarine fiasco” and the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project. “I said from the outset this submarine fiasco was a massively expensive waste of time and money,” Mr Jones said.

His comments came amid heavy criticism of both projects, which Mr Jones argued he expected would come in over-budget. Mr Jones agreed with Victorian Energy Policy Centre Director Dr Bruce Mountain, who on Monday described the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project as being ‘an expensive white elephant’. “Why shouldn't you pay for these monumental stuff-ups?” Mr Jones said, directing his question at Mr Turnbull. “Submarines, and now Snowy 2.0….Well done, Mr Turnbull,” he said.

SCH451 only about $200 billion between the both The Subs if they ever happen will be completely obsolete Snowy 2.0 if ever it happens with an expensive joke

The biggest was actually putting him there in the first place! Something I will never forgive the Liberals for, the knifing of Tony Abbott to install that man!

Just 2?

Turnbull is lucky Kerry Paker is no longer with us. Kerry would have kicked his arse so hard .

Inya Al.

The Ghost continues to haunt Australia both on land and sea.

So throwing mud back over your shoulder Alan Jones is how you intend to assist your forward trajectory? Alan Jones is your spokesperson and doesn't comment independently. SkyNewsBreak SkyNews smh 9NewsAUS BBCWorld CNN guardian

The fact is Malcolm Turnbull was a dismal failure but he added PM to his CV which he's elated about😄 He has an ego bigger than wolseley rd point piper😂 Just admit it Mal Nobody liked you just like the 4footer 😂

What about the NBN?

Always ranked Rudd then Turnbull as our worst PM's. The more that comes out I think Turnbull may be leading. National disaster

Well said Allan. A noisy Diesel engine in a sub. Hmmm aren’t submarines meant to be silent and stealthy? Should have bought American nuclear powered subs. Still scratching my head too

And the NBN stuff up... TurnbullMalcolm auspol

TurnbullMalcolm was a victim of his own hubris and narcissism!!

I would have thought that it would have been LNP Cabinet decision not by one man but Mr Jones can not bring himself to criticise his beloved LNP as his hate for Turnbull is well known.

He was the king 👑 of stuff ups! The liberal party’s major stuff up was giving him the job!

I guess this was not enough

Getting the French to build a bastardised submarine design is never a good idea. They will probably fit them with fly screens.

Submarine plan is bad. Our out ranged subs can be stalked by faster boats and subs until they come up for air or have to refuel, at which point their sitting ducks. They cant even visit an enemy port & hit their ships at anchor. They cant even hit land targets.

How many times does Alan need to repeat himself? And by the way it was a LNP Govt. decision on both projects. When are you lot going to stop shifting blame onto others

both projects could be stopped, still.

pleaseuseaussie Allan totally correct the worst PM ever tells you that been hopeless can take you far

What, only two!!

Jones has moved on. He's got his 2sec of heart strain fame over how farmers are treated, now he moves on to the enemies of the R. Interestingly he has ZERO credentials in both submarines and hydroelectric power. Just the type of person to comment on them.

Could I add 2 more Turnbull stuff ups - creating a market in water by separating licences from land to be irrigated and ratifying Paris Accord. Could I also add politicising Foreign Affairs & BoM. Could I also add neglecting Aged Care. Could I also....

Focus on tomorrow

Australia is 'land of droughts and flooding rains' despite climate change | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny has lashed out at the ABC, saying the public broadcaster uses Australian taxes “against” the public to “push their chosen political and ideological line on climate change”.\n\n“As I've demonstrated before by reference to the science - the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change no less - and other sources, there is no way you can scientifically blame Australia's current drought to climate change,” Mr Kenny said. \n\n“But the ABC is intent on making the link, even playing 'gotcha' politics to force politicians to make a pointless concession … It seems they can't handle the truth.”\n\nMr Kenny added that Australia is “land of droughts and flooding rains” and it will be “so long as we exist on this continent”.\n The man is insignificant. Reporting well understood science is now apparently pushing a political and ideology agenda. Kenny is getting more and more obsessed and fixated with the ABC. Does he every do a program that doesn’t include “lash(ing) out at the ABC” 'The science' he says, hoping to god no one watched Media Watch on said target channel inserting what he consistently omitted from this week's 'totally rock solid rebuttal' snippet. Wonder why he's angry tho lol 😢
