Major aged-care providers axing staff amid pandemic, union says

"This is absolutely astounding at a time when we need more nursing in aged care, not less. It is also devastating that government considers other staff in Aged Care as NON ESSENTIAL workers like Lifestyle staff, kitchen staff, cleaners, laundry staff and reveptionist. We should have just stayed home as we are not essential for the ageing residents of home care.
