Despite a wobbly first half when it looked like the upset could be on, Collingwood strolls to a 24-point victory over Adelaide as the Crows' wait for a win in 2020 continues.

An undermanned Collingwood has produced a second-half surge to down Adelaide by 24 points at Adelaide Oval.Adelaide held a nine-point half-time lead but was then overpowered as the Pies booted five goals to none in a defining third term.

Magpies stalwart Steele Sidebottom was also prominent around the packs and Jack Crisp offered dash from defence. The Crows were superbly served by Rory Laird who collected a game-high 37 disposals and 10 clearances, Brodie Smith was solid, while Tyson Stengle and Elliott Himmelber both kicked two goals.

The Crows lost 150-gamer Tom Lynch and acting captain Tom Doedee to hamstring strains while key Magpie defender Jordan Roughead was concussed. But the Magpies made their move in the third term, booting five straight goals with Stephenson and Ruscoe slotting two each.

Arts and entertainment grants to be rolled out by the end of 2020 | Sky News AustraliaArts and entertainment industry grants should start flowing to successful applicants before the end of 2020, according to Communication’s Minister Paul Fletcher.\n\nOn Tuesday the federal government unveiled more details on the grant programs which will be included in the $250 million COVID-19 support package for the arts sector first announced in June.\n\nApplications will open from August 31 and will be considered in a rolling process by the government.\n\nMr Fletcher told Sky News about a $75 million rise grant, describing it as “a restart investment to sustain and expand” which was designed to support event organisers and ensure new shows will be open for the public as soon as public health restrictions are eased.\n\n“The issue here is it costs money to get a new show up, it costs money to hire cast and crew, hire the venue and market the show,” he said. \n\nThe government will be seeking to award funding as quickly as possible to ensure organisers have the capital to put on shows, he said. \n PaulFletcherMP Waste of money. Feed the hungry and house the homeless. Priorities are all wrong PaulFletcherMP But will they reach the many performers, often young, who have suffered as a result of government restrictions or will they wash around the elite celebrities and their associated companies and networks - we shall see.
