Madeleine McCann assumed dead, say German prosecutors

"We assume that the girl is dead," Braunschweig state prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said.

He spent numerous years in Portugal and has two previous convictions for "sexual contact with girls".Christian Hoppe of Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office told German public broadcaster ZDF that the suspect, is currently imprisoned in Germany for a sexual crime.Police said whoever abducted the girl may have broken into the holiday apartment and then committed the kidnapping.

"We will never give up hope of finding Madeleine alive but whatever the outcome may be, we need to know as we need to find peace."

Funny how this sad, tragic story alway attracts such a swarm of nasty, hungry cockroaches. Dark, vile, misinformed comments from unpleasant, spiteful people. Same old predictable ‘the parents did it’ comments. Same old judgements about the tapas night. Mean, baseless, stupid.

But it still won't explain blood found under the apartment inside window, blood found in the apartment closet and blood found in the back of the McCann's hire car? Way to many speculations going on with this! Definite proof needed but really hope it is finally solved! 🔬
