Sweden’s Duni Group is ramping up plans to float or sell a stake in its Aussie born-and-bred packaging brand BioPak.

The brand was created by Sydneysider Richard Fine about 15 years ago, and has been run by CEO Gary Smith for more than a decade. It has more than 10,000 clients including long-term relationships with McDonald’s, KFC, Woolworths, Aldi, and Commonwealth Bank. It launched in Europe in 2020. Sales increased 29.2 per cent in 2021, as BioPak benefitted from restrictions on table service and increased demand for takeaway food, Duni Group told investors. BioPak has consistently grown sales, revenue and earnings for more than a decade, including in its existing markets such as Australia.
