Police originally believed the truck and trailer had travelled into the UK via Holyhead, a north Wales port that is the closest British port to Dublin.
The truck and trailer left the port just after 1am and drove to the industrial park where the contents were discovered half an hour later. Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said the vehicle had not entered the country since 2017 and denied any connection to the country beyond its registration
They were found because the driver found them and alerted authorities.
