You know, kids and photos and all those sorts of things. Crews were called back to the Bonogin Valley at 6:40am on Wednesday, following reports a fire they believe was deliberately lit yesterday reignited. As firefighters have battled blazes in that region for nearly two weeks, with four houses confirmed destroyed in Wallangarra overnight, and 53 destroyed around Tara, for a total of 57, compared to 49 across the state in 2019."The resilience of our community is very strong … but to be hit with so much devastation is a real challenge," he said.

"I'm sure our firies will do their very best to do that. But having said that, this is an unpredictable fire."Firefighters from Queensland and New South Wales have been working together to battle fires near the border.

"So many Australians have been really pitching in to help each other over the last couple of years. We do need to be careful not to tire people out too early in the season. I've been pleased to be able to tell you that today, we will see 63 Victorian firefighters arrive in Queensland to relieve some of those Queensland firefighters who've been hard at work for the last few weeks.
