Premier Daniel Andrews has declared a state of disaster in Victoria, with a curfew imposed in Melbourne from 8pm tonight and supermarket trips restricted to one person per household

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says stage four restrictions are needed because modelling predicts current restrictions would have taken until the end of the year to bring case numbers down to zero.

“Those mysteries … are in many respects our biggest challenge. And the reason why we need to move to a different set of rules,” he said. “But after a lot of hard work a lot of detailed analysis, our public health experts … [have] provided advice to me that simply says if we were to pursue this strategy with a view to driving down numbers to a very low level where we could reopen, it would likely be the end of the year before we were able to reopen. That's a six-month strategy that is simply not going to work.

Mr Andrews: you have completely crossed the line with these measures (if you hadn't done so already). A nightly curfew in particular is a heinous contravention of peoples' liberties. The worst is: you justify this on the basis of a completely one-sided view of the science.

ozhomeschool How and WHAT law gives these psychopaths the right to enforce a state of disaster whenever they feel like it. They must have to follow necessary procedural steps to classify this. My gosh how are they even getting away with this.

ChristyHeiney australia and NZ are owned by the Rotschild. no wonder why this happen there. all BS. wake up australia

What a joke, ridiculous Australians let this stand. Successful mongering by the media has most people brainwashed into supporting it too 🤦‍♂️
